What are the BumpyPhotos made of?

The relief scuptures are made of a hard resin composite in full 24-bit color with a matte varnish. The colors are not painted on but are actually part of the make-up of a thick color outer layer of the model. Due the to the manufacturing process, up-close the surface is slightly rough to the touch (grainy / sugar-coated / sandstone) and some layering can be visible. Please avoid dropping, banging, wetting or direct sunlight.

BumpyPhoto reliefs are not watertight, not dishwasher safe, not recyclable, and not foodsafe. The reliefs are heatproof to 60C/140F degrees. Higher temperatures may significantly change relief's material properties. The reliefs are as hard and brittle as porcelain, and should therefore only be used for ornaments.

Are your products suitable for children?

Our products are not suitable for children and are collector items intended for adults. Some products may contain small parts not intended for children and can be a choking hazard.

What is your return policy?

Please find all the relevant details order policy page.

Do you do bulk orders?

If you'd like to order many duplicates (100 to thousands) of the same BumpyPhoto relief, we can use a different manufacturing process to cut the production cost of each relief to tens of USD each. Note that there is setup tooling costs starting at $USD 1000 or so and production takes several weeks. Please contact us for a quote.

How Big can you make them?

We can make them as big as needed. For this, we make them in tiles and fix them together. Please refer to Size dropdown box on our product pages for an idea of the cost versus size ratio, then please contact us for a quote.

What are the limitation of the 3D effect?

A 3D color depth-map or surface is extracted your submitted photo. The more complex the image, the likely the 3D conversion process will be more expensive. The accuracy of the 3D representation of some of the photo's subjects is open to interpretation as the real depth information is not available. Surface information unseen in the original photo will not be represented in the resulting 3D surface. Expect some straight cliffs with color stretching on the sides of extruded objects/people. This is because there is no surface nor color information in these unseen parts of the image as we are generated a depth-map, not a full 360 degree 3D object. Each point on the submitted image is given only one depth level - like a sonar..

Why are some of these premium-priced products?

Most items, such as sculptures and decorative objects, available in stores are mass-produced, enabling substantial cost savings. The initial design and engineering costs are amortized over time and quantity. For example, a single set of molds (costing thousands itself) produces thousands of identical items quickly and cheaply.

On the other hand, each of our products are unique and made-to-order. Manufacturing a single item can take up to several days of labour. Finally, the materials used by the custom manufacturing process are expensive.

What is the packaging like?

Our standard packaging is mostly nondescript.

Do you offer custom packaging?

Not yet, but we hope to offer this soon.

How long does it take to get my item?

It depends first on your selected production speed (between 4 weeks to 3 days). To that, you have to add shipping times. Domestic US shipping then takes between 1-2 business days with Express, 2-4 days with Air shipping and 4-6 days with Standard shipping. International shipment typically take 5-9 days with air shipping and 8-15 days with ground shipping.

If you need your item quicker or by a certain deadline, please contact email us with your requirements at and we will quote you.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to most countries.

Where do you ship from?

We currently ship from the USA but expect to ship from other locations soon.

What is the cost of shipping?

Your item will be shipped from the closest production facility to you (most likely from the USA). All days are in business days.

For the high-priority shipping options (such as USPS Express, Fedex or UPS), only the shipping rates estimates are available during the Store Checkout process. We might contact you with the final rates in some cases. We can ship using your Fedex or UPS account number if you have one. Please contact us for details. .

We reserve the right to edit the shipping method on your order to get it to you in the most economical and efficient way.

Untracked domestic and international shipments are available. It's important that you as the customer understand that there is higher risk in shipping with these cheaper methods. They do not support tracking or shipping insurance. For a long time we were hesitant to offer these methods because of this, because we want to be able to guarantee your package arrives safely, but due to popular demand. These methods can save you several dollars in some cases, but you must understand we cannot guarantee a timeframe for your order's arrival. The USPS's estimation does not take into account customs delays, or some guy at a dock somewhere putting the package in his car to 'inspect' it further at home. We cannot contact the Postal Service, here or abroad, concerning a package shipped with this method - they can't track it either. We cannot replace a lost order shipped with one of these methods. In our experience, the cheaper domestic options are still pretty reliable, just slower. However depending on the country we've had some problems with international packages disappearing with no way to track them when shipping with the cheaper international methods.

We're offering these options to you so you can make the choice on whether you'd like to pay a little more for speed and security, or go with a cheaper option, throwing caution to the wind to save a few bucks, which in some cases makes sense to do. It's your call. If you understand and agree with this policy, please use this option. If not, choose a slightly pricier option that assures you that your package will be trackable, and optionally you can ask us for insurance in the event it would be lost along the way.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Via 2Checkout our secure online payment provider, we accept most major credit cards as well as Paypal. We do not accept American Express, Money Orders or Western Union.
